The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day, fast paced studio operations and managing all projects through execution. This includes detailed project tracking and management, report generation, purchasing and vendor management, high end client communication, logistics, supervision of the 4-5 person production floor, basic budgeting and costing and close collaboration with the owner.
Because the stakes are high, this committed individual will possess a small business/entrepreneurial mentality in order to increase hands on efficiency and control costs. An interest in the visual arts and 3-5 years of project or production management experience in a custom-build facility are desirable. A Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
The qualified candidate is organized and comfortable with deadlines, strives for continuous improvement, proactively and concisely reports project progress, brings a respectful and collaborative leadership style, presents professionally and communicates effectively in both written and verbal form. Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office are required. Proficiency in Microsoft Project is highly desirable.
