SITE MANAGER

Leading Sonoma County top soil production facility, with focus on environmental stewardship for a healthy sustainable environment, seeks a professional leader to manage sales and production and a small staff, in addition to compliance and administrative activities to ensure a profitable, efficient and legally compliant operation.

You will be an active member of the management team to determine business strategies and be responsible to execute these strategies at your site.

The most important ingredient for the successful candidate is the ability to manage, motivate and mentor staff to success.

Additional key duties include: growing the retail business to meet sales goals, ensuring correct and adequate production to meet sales needs, building strong relationships and alliances with regulators, vendors and customers, managing equipment needs, fiscal oversight, quality control and overseeing compliance regulations.

We are looking for an individual that loves a challenge, enjoys the outdoors, has an interest and/or experience in green and sustainable production, brings mechanical aptitude, is an effective communicator, is a problem solver and is self-motivated, can work autonomously and leads by example. Here is a chance to take ownership of an operation and make it successful. This is not a desk job, but instead a hands-on leadership position encompassing the office, yard and local sales.

A degree is preferred; knowledge of soil sciences is ideal. A minimum of five years managerial experience in a similar production environment is required.
