A leading cork and capsule supplier to the wine industry, located in Napa CA., seeks a service oriented and interactive financial professional to join their small and highly customer service oriented team.

 

While reporting directly to the President and supervising a staff of one, you will be responsible for all accounting, general ledger reporting and Human Resource administration. Key duties include: extensive inventory tracking, accounting, reconciliation; cash flow monitoring; oversight of AP with international transfers and AR including interacting with customers; fixed asset and depreciation schedules; monthly financial statements; biweekly payroll preparation; insurance and benefit administration; state reporting/taxes; forecasting and budget preparation in conjunction with management; and monthly financial reporting to both the president and parent French company.

 

A BS degree in accounting plus a minimum of five years of accounting management experience is necessary. Solid experience in inventory management is critical to success. Strong computer skills in Word, Excel and Outlook are required, and experience using Great Plains is highly desired. Wine industry experience is a plus. Because the parent company is French and month-end French accounting is additionally required, bilingual in French is also a plus.

 

Experience and understanding of working in a small, family owned environment is paramount as it lends itself to flexibility, good communication and team support. Accuracy and the ability to resolve problems and discrepancies are absolutely necessary. This is a casual work environment with a team that takes pride in what they do and works together to achieve success. Occasional travel to France included.
