A prominent, local supplier of aggregate and asphalt seeks an accounting professional to process and manage all accounts payables for their business and possibly some additional accounts payables, including LLC’s for the owner.

While reporting directly to the Controller, your focus will be to ensure accuracy and efficiency while taking ownership of all accounts payables. Duties include processing of purchase orders; matching to invoices; entering invoices into QuickBooks; appropriately posting payments; printing and running checks; resolving discrepancies; interacting with vendors; and producing and monitoring reports generated. Additional duties include backing up the receptionist on the phones and cross training in Accounts Receivable to best support the accounting team.

The qualified candidate is an accounts payable specialist, efficient and competent in data entry, detail oriented with high accuracy, organized, flexible, team oriented, inquisitive to learn new things, adept at problem solving, likes taking ownership and can effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

A minimum of five years experience handling accounts payables in a busy environment is required. An AA degree in Accounting is desired. Strong skills in Word, Excel, ten-key and QuickBooks are absolutely necessary for success. Familiarity with Crystal Reports is a plus.
