A luxury wine producer with estate vineyard locations in Oregon, California and Burgundy, France seeks to hire an Accounting Manager to be responsible for the management, direction and operation of all general accounting activities in their Santa Rosa office.

While reporting directly to the Vice President of Finance, the Accounting Manager will coordinate efforts to ensure accurate financial reporting and implement accounting systems and procedures to reduce costs and obtain improved information.

Key responsibilities include: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Cost Accounting, Payroll, subsidiary ledgers and related functions.  Additionally, this position contributes to or provides monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, including interim reporting on disbursements, expenses and tax payments, financial reports covering sales, earnings, cash balances and other financial results, and is responsible for monthly closing.

The qualified individual is degreed in accounting/finance (CPA strongly preferred) or a related field or has equivalent experience including a minimum of four years of wine industry general accounting. Experience with Vintegrate software and fluency in French a plus. 

The work environment is energetic and the team is very collaborative, yet this role requires someone with a sense of urgency, flexibility and detail-orientation. The role is ideal for a Senior Accountant ready to take on more responsibility and add to their breadth of experience.
