SUP 101: Supervisor Toolkit I – Supervisor Fundamentals

When individual contributors are promoted but not provided the tools needed to successfully lead others, it can strip them of their confidence, decrease their motivation to appropriately delegate work, cause unnecessary conflicts, and reduce overall morale and effectiveness. This first workshop of the five-part Supervisor’s Toolkit series is foundational to setting up new supervisors with the fundamentals of being a supervisor, so they can embody their role and lead with presence and confidence.

Supervisors come away with a clear understanding of their role as a supervisor/manager from attending Toolkit I. Attendees will learn how to make the transition from being an individual contributor to leading others and to strengthen their command presence by embodying the attitudes, behaviors, and skills that will contribute to their effectiveness in achieving results through others.

Learning Objectives

To assist successful individual contributors in making the transition to leading others.
To train supervisors and managers in attitudes, behaviors and skills that will contribute to their effectiveness in achieving results through others.
