SUP 106: Building Trust

In our experience, leaders will often wonder why their team doesn’t openly share their current challenges, important information, or even frustrations with their supervisors. In most cases it is due to an absence of trust. This is not always the leader’s fault, nor are they always the person to blame. But it is a problem that must be solved. An absence of trust can be the number one killer of communications within a team, and it is up to leadership within an organization to identify the root causes and build trust.

In this workshop we will explore common reasons why trust is broken; participate in individual, partner, and group exercises; and discuss and practice using tools for building trust within your team.

Learning Objectives

To identify areas where trust is absent.
To discuss barriers to building trust.
